The First Formal Chingay Parade in Singapore was raiseed by the then-Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew who was also the chairman of the People's Association (PA).

Chingay, with all its noise and gaiety, would compensate for the ban on firecrackers, a customary New Year practice to drive away evil spirits

Through the parade Singaporean can understand more varity of cultural art they have never seen before ,

in Chingay not only do people get to enjoying the gigantic party like event, it also enfoster a stronger bond between the people.


River Hongbao has been on Singapore’s festive calendar every year since 1987

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Singapore will held large event such as River HongBao which provide

a vibrant festival held on the Floating Platform at Marina Bay

that features enormous lanterns depicting the animals of the Chinese zodiac and a smorgasbord of fringe activities.
